TRACK: 0 (Played as expected, no adjustments)

WIND: NNW 35 KM/H

BLACK CAVIAR

QUALITY FIGURE: 98.4

WINNER FIGURE: 98.8

Even run, building slightly from through early, mid, and late. Controlled race and no performance marked from the race to follow. Quality figure was quite low, and they've all bar hit that, again reitterating the thought that I wouldn't be taking anything out of the race, particularly above this level.

MCNEIL

QUALITY FIGURE: 96.5

WINNER FIGURE: 99.2

GROWING EMPIRE was nothing short of impressive, a 99.2 resuming, going past his previous peak of 96.4 in the Breeders Stakes at Morphettville in April. Obviously the visual tells an even better story, having being eased right down, and you can add a bit to the actual figure of 99.2. Not interested in anything else out of the race, and if you add that little bit to his performance, you can tighten the gap right up to the star filly in Sydney, Autumn Glow.

COCKRAM

QUALITY FIGURE: 98.5

WINNER FIGURE: 89.2

I think without even writing, you can summise this was a very, very weak race looking at Quality vs Winner figure, and you want to be looking for excuses for those in behind, or some sort of merit outside of the figures. No knock on the winner, QUINTESSA, who you could have had off her base rating, however all I could summise, was her figure says she is on track getting up to the mile + going forward. No genuis to state both WOLLOMBI and FORTUNATE KISS the two bottled up the inside are the two to take from the race. Mostly WOLLOMBI, who was coiled up all race against a very sedate tempo.

MEMSIE

QUALITY FIGURE: 103

WINNER FIGURE: 104.4

You would be very brave to drop off PRIDE OF JENNI on the resuming run, as race shape wise, she has run near identically to her resuming run last prep, however, she has had a wheelhouse 1400m, race fit PINSTRIPED in the race, a trending forward, race fit GENTLEMAN ROY, and MR BRIGHTSIDE, who had her measure last FUP run engaged. That is as good as PINTSRIPED will ever go, and I am confident in saying, if they step to the mile, you can leave him out. PRIDE OF JENNI on the other hand, I am confident you just call her the best miler in the country and be done with it. VIA SISTINA and FANGIRL the only hopes to pop her in that range. But I don't want her past the mile again unless it's a hot Valley rail; the QE was a gift. Don't like ANTINO off that. Trial great, but at this level, he is not at this tier, alot would have to be in favour to have me on board.
